One Wilshire is one of the world’s preeminent points of interconnection and the center of Los Angeles colocation. Beginning in the mid 1980’s, the largest long distance carriers began deploying switches in what was downtown Los Angeles’s first high-rise building. For the past twenty-five years, One Wilshire has evolved from a major switched telecommunications site to one of the world’s leading IP peering hubs.
Through active management of One Wilshire since 2001, CoreSite delivered nearly 100,000 square feet of new, Los Angeles colocation space, modernized the building’s power systems, heightened security and prepared One Wilshire for the IP revolution. By making these changes, we were able to provide content delivery networks (CDNs), entertainment and media companies and hosting providers with Los Angeles colocation space and the ability to connect to over 200 of the world’s leading carriers and network service providers.
Today, CoreSite manages the world renowned 4th floor Meet-Me Room and 100,000 square feet of additional Los Angeles colocation space at One Wilshire. New colocation space is currently available.
