CoreSite's values are the foundation for everything we do as a company and as a data center industry solutions provider focused on empowering our customers to reach their business and infrastructure goals.

In today’s fast-paced world of technological advancement, CoreSite stands out for the elite customer experience and data center solutions that we deliver. It’s through investing in our exceptional team that we’re able to bring our vision of “Empowering a More Connected Future” to life.

We recently took the opportunity to review, refine and refresh our company vision, purpose and values. As we have become part of the American Tower family and experienced quite a bit of change over the last few years, it was a good time to ask our employees about their experiences. To fully capture what makes us unique, we asked, “What resonates with you about working here?” and “How would you describe our culture?” We also wanted to know how our customers connect to the CoreSite culture, so we asked them, “What is it like to do business with CoreSite?” These insights provided a strong foundation for us to begin defining who we are today and how we want to show up every day.

When CoreSite was founded, in 2001, we chose to take a customer-centric approach. While we continue to serve and partner with many groups today, the strong culture at CoreSite is anchored by our customers’ impact across the world. We are here to serve our customers and build connections.

Every person at CoreSite contributes to and nurtures our customer-focused culture. One of the things that I find most important is a company’s rallying cry – the vision and purpose of the organization. CoreSite is known by our customers as being unique, delivering excellence and showing up well in every interaction. Our values communicate what we stand for and how we work with our customers, prospective customers, vendors and other business partners – and with each other.

Cultivating relationships, both externally and internally, is a pillar of how we operate. Our strong internal culture is the key to effective customer service. When we work together in the best way possible, that internal culture shines through in every customer interaction. That’s why we took the time to refine our values – we wanted to be sure they resonate with our team and continue to help define positive customer connections. Our partners know we deliver consistent service, which builds their trust and confidence. And, when a company’s internal values align with your own as a customer, you know that a meaningful relationship, one you can trust, is possible.

In addition to how we serve our customers, our values define expectations for how CoreSite teams treat each other, operate, and excel in what we do. We take our performance as a company and services for our customers very personally. We know that we succeed when we band together. Each person at CoreSite contributes to a collective strength that far exceeds the sum of individual efforts.

I’m excited for the ways we’ll be weaving these values, along with our vision and mission, into the fabric of everything we do at CoreSite. We’ve put values at the center of our business for a long time, and our culture reflects that – in building connections, owning outcomes and committing to excellence. Now, we’re exploring platforms and developing plans to foster peer-to-peer recognition, celebrating everyday heroes and the small wins that drive our shared purpose forward.

I’m proud of the work we do to solve important customer challenges, the ways we connect employees to our collective identity and our shared vision of empowering a more connected future. Ultimately, when we win as a team, our customers win, too.
